Project Goal
One-time Economic Resilience and Recovery (ERR) Funds supported this project during the 2021-2023
period to mitigate economic impacts of the pandemic.
The project, with partners Shenandoah University and Valley Health, addresses workforce shortages
within the healthcare sector which were exacerbated by the pandemic. The project rebuilds capacity in
the health care system by leveraging retiring nurses as preceptors to expand the pipeline of incoming
nurses into the workforce.
